Crosslake Community Schools' In-Person School has an on-site kitchen and food service program that serves breakfast and lunch each school day. Through Minnesota’s Free School Meals Program, students can receive one breakfast and one lunch each school day at no cost.
Application for Educational Benefits
All students can receive breakfast and lunch at no charge through the Minnesota Free School Meals Program. Even so, families are requested to complete an Application for Educational Benefits each school year.
The application does much more than determine meal eligibility. Information from these applications helps determine the state and federal funding available to support students, programs, and services throughout our schools. When eligible families complete the form, our entire school community can benefit.
Benefits for Families
Depending on eligibility, completing the Application for Educational Benefits may also help families access additional programs and benefits, including:
- Summer grocery assistance through SUN Bucks
- Discounted internet and utility programs
- ACT, SAT, and AP testing fee waivers
- Reduced-cost transportation and field trips
- Free or reduced admission to museums and community events
- Academic support, tutoring, and after-school programs
How do I complete the Application?
Families can complete the Application for Educational Benefits in one of two ways:
- Complete a paper application and return it to Food Service Manager Kathy Faust.
- Complete the application electronically through your family’s Infinite Campus Parent Portal.
If your student has already been approved through Direct Certification, you do not need to complete an application.
Applications are confidential and may be submitted at any time during the school year.
